Education Programs

In order to educate and inform Indiana County residents about recycling and related issues, the Authority offers many educational programs and services to schools, scout troops, youth groups, and civic organizations. Programs can be tailored to a specific age group or the needs of your organization and can be done at your site. Tours of the Recycling Center are also available during regular business hours.

The Authority also provides written information such as brochures, guides, and fact sheets on a variety of recycling related topics. Information on waste haulers, approved landfill facilities, hauler licensing information, and fact sheets about topics such as recycling, waste reduction, composting, and household hazardous waste are available through the Authority’s office.
